So for those who might have forgotten by now: signups for the new Werewolves game are done. Be sure to check the last post of it to see what's going on. The short version is that if you signed up, you need to message me with your anonymous identity. It has already been a thing for a couple days so I'll let it keep going until Monday when I get home (roughly 2PM EST (or 3PM if you go back server time in the upper right). At which point I'll get it setup with Lynx's new system (thanks to Lynx again by the way) and we will go from there.

Also, a bunch of people were able to participate in the Shadress invasion of the Wasteland this year and will be receiving a gift bag which may or may not include the banner. With Aldo successfully getting multiplayer raids figured out though, next year we can potentially get one setup so that fighting her is available all day (for all of those who miss it due to time constraints) as well as rewards for doing so.

So the take away from all of this:

  • Message Will with Werewolf name

  • Game will start some time Monday

  • Shadress rewards some time this weekend

  • Brace yourself...Winter is coming

Smiley Pack 4 has been added to the Platinum Store. Some great stuff by UnicornBob! Do check it out if you want access to some hip new emotes:

Raids

A couple of minor fixes in the world of raids (hopefully nothing else is broken).
  • Fixed Strange Crown healing and cutting its own XP when the player is already at full health.

  • Fixed a rendering issue with the raid map system when switching maps (when you go to the queen's area in The Ritual, you see all walls but you should actually see a few non-wall tiles).

  • Probably the most important, locked public events that have no players in them (i.e. everyone died/left/failed..etc) will be reset by the next minute tick so as to give everyone another chance. You will need to repay the cost if you fail.

New items (now that people have discovered them)
  • Strange Crown - heals the user for 10 times the item level every 2 minutes. However, it also costs the same in Misc XP in order to execute the heal.

  • Armor, Weapon, and Misc Balls - Allow a lossless transfer of XP out of them to respective item types. You cannot transfer XP back into them by any means. They can transfer XP to any item with a level requirement below or above them.

  • Nanite Cluster - Grants a full heal + extra HP (eg. if it says it gives +100 nano-shield, and your max hp is 300 - you will be healed to 400/300).

  • Power Core - Buff that removes WL re-entry timer for 1 entry only.

Stay tuned for more info on upcoming raids.

I will be releasing a new raid shortly called The Ritual. With the release of the new raid, I introduce to you public events.

In a public event raid, everyone joins the same raid instance and participates together in order to complete the objective of the raid.

The system currently works as follows:

  • Every public event has only once instance that everyone joins.

  • The public event is reset every 30 minutes.

  • You can do another raid before/after participating successfully in a public event one within the same 30 minute tick.

  • You cannot, however, repeat the same public event within its cooldown period.

  • Damage against NPCs by multiple players is tracked so that everyone gets a (weighted, based on contribution) shot at NPC drop tables, if any.

  • Public events can be locked from being joinable by new players or by players in the raid who die past a certain point.

The last one is meant to be one measure (out of a couple that I'm still thinking about) to prevent people from joining in last second/not putting effort in. One issue that still exists, however, is that a person could join and just be inactive during. I am still working this out as every raid is different so it requires different solutions.

The Ritual (Lv. 75+) will be the first public event raid. In many ways, this also serves as a test of the multiplayer as well as a precursor to true private multiplayer raids with small parties.

I have put in a lot of time/effort to get this here over the last week/week and a half. Undoubtedly, as with any Aldo updates, there can and will be kinks. I'm continuing to work on it so that we can also have true private multiplayer raids.

I'm also working on some other exciting stuff that I'll share soon. It does not have any short-term impact yet but long-term, it will be great for the game.

Other than that,
have fun!

So, I decided to help out the new players, because it takes too long to train Abilities right now, and Cow Bells aren't going to cut it.

Your base rate, before Speed Reading, Training Boost, or Favors, is now based on your total amount of currently trained points.

From 0 to 100,000, you get 30 base points.
From 100,001 to 200,000, you get 25 base points.
From 200,001 to 300,000, you get 20 base points.
From 300,001 to 400,000, you get 15 base points.
From 400,001 to 500,000, you get 10 base points.
From 500,001 onward, you get 5 base points.

This means if you are over 500,000 Points right now, nothing changes for you.
If you have only trained less than 100,000, rejoice, for you now train 30 at base.

Speed Reading, Favor, and Training Boost work on top of these; so it is possible to have +39.

If you want to discuss it, feel free to make a Thread in Main.
