Sorry for the lack of communication this last month. I know a lot of you have been wondering where I have been. Basically, although this site raises enough money to support itself. It has not really been raising enough money to support my full time work these last few months. The cost of living is increasing dramatically in the UK with a VAT increase and constantly increasing petrol prices, etc.
While I promise this site will run, without advertisements, as long as it has players. I can no longer promise to devote my full attention to it. My main plan right now to raise extra income is to make and complete a side project, which will hopefully run along side Legacy raising me extra income and then allow me to return to spending the majority of my time working here.
I understand this is frustrating for players and for that I apologize. I'll still be working on Legacy when I can, but for now I'm having to put a lot of things on hold. Thanks for the continued support, more news will follow.

So nearly February and still a few bits to do. I'm going to post a list of stuff that's already been looked at - anymore suggestions feel free to post them in the blog comments; just not crazy ideas that take a lot of time to prep as we have enough of those. For 2011 I have:
- Murder Mystery (one or two not 100% sure yet),
- Valentines Event,
- LegCon (March and one later in the year),
- Easter,
- WTF Mode
- Halloween,
- Christmas,
- New Year.
Of course in there will be a few Awesome Hours that I will leave to DMaster or dk16, random Contests and games etc... almost forgot to add there won't be a Werewolf game for a while maybe until March/April. Last one kind of ... droned on and on and I figure people are sick of seeing it right now.
Oh and before I forget ... again Moderator applications for Online Chat are open; if you want more info it's in the Main Forum. Staff apps are closing in the next 2/3 days so if you want to apply but haven't... get a move on!

Sometimes I hate this game. Firstly, the change to experience for avatars is not happening. I had multiple people complain to me that leveling was near impossible now, but not one of them stepped up to defend my proposed solution.

If you want to post threads complaining about me, make it constructive. You could even complain to me in private, I know that's not as much fun but it would achieve more. You're welcome to restart your thread if you can make it constructive, however, mindless complaining is considered spam and will be removed.
As for the crazy argument that I've just read in the side chat logs. I think both sides got out of hand and as such all disfavors from tonight will be reversed. Yes, TOS 7.0 should never of been quoted but the thread in question was in violation of TOS 1.1 and as such myself and Legacy Affairs fully support staff in their decision to lock it.

In a few days I plan to remove experience gain for avatars defeating players of level 79 and below. I understand this will make leveling harder for avatars and if it significantly slows down the process I may decrease the experience requirement between levels, however I doubt it will have that big an impact. Right now it is very hard for players (who offer any sort of experience to avatars) to stay alive long enough to level.
The combat system is coming along well and I've cleared out all my tickets. I'm currently not working on anything else. A concept screenshot is shown below, we're past the concept stage but the current scripting is far less pretty. It is currently not functional and has quite a way to go.

The only change to actual combat mechanics this UI overhaul will bring is that speed will actually determine how fast you can attack. Meaning it will no longer be a game of who has the fastest internet connection.
I'm also going to test out the idea of disabling automatic retaliation in warfare, meaning you will have to actively target your attackers and attack them back to do any damage at all.
