Soo. After breaking the forums for a few hours a new update is finally ready, and will be pushed live within this week, if all goes well.
What does this include, you ask? Well...
- Players can react to forum posts.
- Staff can edit the available reactions if needed.
- Reactions can also be disabled/enabled on a "per forum" basis by staff.
- Reactions will also work with clan forums.
- Reactions can be turned off all together in "Game Settings"
- "Useless Information" table has been updated to include a count of your forum ratings and forum reactions.
- Rewrote some stuff.
As with all other forum stuff, you will not be able to react to posts while under the influence of a disfavor lower or equal to -2
As always, please report any bugs you encounter regarding this update to me, or simply reply in a comment to this blog post.

So, another wasteland related update is coming, along with the mandatory typo/bugfixes.
Without further ado, here's the changelog for this update.
- Wasteland chat command suggestions, use tab key to autocomplete.
- Players below -2 will not be able to provide thread-ratings, changed from -1.
- "/alert attack" has been added.
- Added 'Outskirts' tab to bottom of hive pages.

Also the default /alert type, will change to "attack", this means that it will behave similar to what it did prior to the alert update.

While Zorg has been away the devs has been busy,
below is the compiled lists of changes/additions that the next update will bring. It mostly consists of some user experience updates (as usual by me.)
- Clicking text next to a checkbox will check it, in most areas of the game.
- Several dropdowns and buttons, now has identical styling, instead of the browser default.
- En icon next to chat limit bar will open a clickable emoticons box, to insert/lookup an emoticon
- Smiley pack 3 added in chat channels.
- Links in chat channels will be clickable.
- Clicking usernames or links in chat popup mode, now navigates the main legacy window, instead of the popup.
- Envelope icon in friends list module will turn grey if the friend has no space left.
- Staff members/Moderators/Guides will appear the top of the list of online chat members.
- Added gang badge to names in chat channel messages.
- Other minor UI/UX cases that has been bugging me lately.
I've also attempted a fix to prevent duplicate messages to be sent to the server in Chat Channels due to lag.
However it's unlikely that there won't still appear some duplicate messages client side, because of the way the chat is coded to begin with,
... and because, oh well, javascript ain't exactly my favourite language.

MattG2 and Connor will be hosting an event in the chat channels july 6th, 5PM EST
Because they have yet to find a fitting name we'll call it the hours of:
"A bit of awesome hour, a bit of a Q&A devs, Aldo & Lynx will come along hour"
Staff will be messaging gang leaders and ask you to go over the practical details, if they haven't done so already.
For this purpose I will be ninja'ing (Is that even a word?) an update to the chat channels, so it can support commands.
(It's already on dev for those who want to check it out).
However most of them are staff only, but there is also the ever-so-classic /me command
And before you ask "Can I use /whisper ?"
No. not yet. I've run out of spare development time before the event date.
