I've been talking to Steven and we're planning a bit of new content for Christmas. I'll probably put it up a few days before Christmas day but set it to not become active until the 25th, then hope it all works properly.

I am disappointed. I thought someone would have worked out what the Coal did, or at least made a guess.

The Coal cannot be used, but having it in your inventory grants a +20% chance of drops from Hunting. This chance is applied after the Scavenger ability bonus (+50% per level).

So, if your chance of getting an item is 10 in 100 with Scavenger then your chance with the Coal in your inventory will be 12 in 100. This applies to all NPC combat and does not stack if you have multiple pieces of Coal.

That's the Advent Calendar up and also the Platinum Christmas Sale! Special thanks to Steven for making the items for both, the Christmas Crackers you get with certain amounts of platinum contain a Gingerbread Man, a Candy Cane and some Coal. The Gingerbread Man grants 2500 energy, the Candy Cane heals for 250 health and the Coal does... something when in your inventory.

All items from Christmas Crackers, including the crackers themselves can be traded. Merry Christmas!

The results are in, some gangs where none-existent, all gangs however played by the rules set. The aim was to help by any means your rank 11's reach a high goal and to get more points than any other gang. The only gang to do this successfully surprisingly was The Outcasts.
