Clans are a large part of the community, to make names more available and to reduce the numbers for moderating purposes we're introducing new guidance and some new rules soon. Clans that have been inactive for 3+ years will be closed.

Clans that qualify for the closure scheme will have a mass message sent and a thread created so any appeal can be lodged, in case another member can take over if the leader is inactive. Or the leader must lay out why it shouldn't be closed.

All clans are under this, only exception are staff clans and gang clans. To avoid a stress riot I can easily explain that this targets those that are completely dead, those that have a post once every 6 months are fine, those that have 1 post a year are still fine.

Aim is to reduce numbers, free up name space and hopefully make it easier for moderation purposes.

I know how much you guys love this warfare map, so how about another 3 months of it? Just kidding, I was literally working up until the point I left for my holiday trying to get stuff done for our new game so didn't get chance to do the switch. Although I had internet access on my holiday I didn't have my laptop, and doing the switch on my regular PC would have been horrific. I find it hard to even work on PCs that aren't running Ubuntu these days.

Warfare switch will happen tomorrow morning at the usual time, apologies for the delay. I'll see if I can get some other things done around here while I'm at it.

Today we started a huge backhaul of cleaning of the forums, no data was deleted. To avoid removing parts of the games history we've combed through the forums to remove any issues with the search function. With that we also got rid of the lovely language this community has. If you did it within the past 3 months you got a cuddly toy disfavor for yourselves. If you've got mod messages ignore them.

Forums aren't a place for that kinda language and we've done a major overhaul of historic posts that where left unmodded. We will be putting the forums back up soon!
