Assuming nothing goes wrong the new combat system will be up on Dev tomorrow for testing. It will only include player vs player combat inside the hive at first, although adapting it for hunting should be pretty straight forward. Making it run through warfare without leaving the warfare page is a big job for another day.
It will take quite a bit of testing before I trust it enough to put it live on main, I hope you'll all agree it is a vast improvement over the old system once you see it though. It also uses new combat equations that increase hit chances and try to remove as much randomness as I dared remove.

For all the people wondering where the updates are, I'm still working on the combat system. At this point I wish I'd never started it, it's become such a massive project with so many other parts waiting on it. Ended up working on some side projects because I just couldn't stand to look at the code any more. I should have known better given that I had the same experience when making hunting, gangs, warfare, etc.
It's also really hard to concentrate on something you don't want to do when in an office full of people. These aren't excuses anyway, it should have been finished weeks ago.
For those blaming Hunted Cow for this, sorry but the blame lies with me. I'm their Senior Web Developer now and have freedom to work on pretty much whatever I want. If anything Hoofmaster has been pushing me to get this finished, it's just massive and incredibly complicated... I hate our combat system.

The development server is now re-open to avatars. It will remain up for a couple of months. All player accounts previously on it have been removed so you'll need to signup again using your code from the Continuum. Any accounts you make there will be temporary for the purposes of testing.

In the interest of keeping everyone appraised of the current situation, which I'm told I don't do enough. We have a new guy working at Hunted Cow Studios, who in the long run is going to take a lot of work from me and mean I can spend more time working on Legacy. Right now, I've had to set aside some time to bring him up to speed and sort out some side projects so he can finish work on them.
