Been a while since I've posted one of these.. sigh, here goes.
I have a small update comming in this week, if everything goes according to the plan. More on that later.
I just wanted to make a quick statement that I'll be taking a short-term (1-3 months, depending) break from development, because I came close to burning my passion for legacy development by pushing too hard on Diego's during christmas and still doing bugfixes
This means that I won't be taking on any larger updates or new systems for the time being, however I'll still be active and take on anything that can be done in reasonably little time.
Constructive suggestions will still be read and noted down
Anyway, now that's out of the way., this is what the update includes.
- Forum threads archive periods will be increased from 14 days to 21 days.
- Threads archive period will be changeable by staff and devs.
- Mandatory bugfixes and typos
- Statistics for daily quests in hall of records.
The statistics will include your total completions compared to others, you'll also be able to look up other players statistics.
And a mandatory top 20 completions list.
It will also include the amount of rerolls you've done, and I'm not mentioning any names *cough*UnicornBob*cough* but some of you are rolling suspisciously high numbers on that one

So, since no one has said the word's yet, I'll say it for you.
An update is coming But that you lot may already have guessed.
There's a new guy coming to the hive, or rather, to the outskirts of the hive, he'll roam around in the underground providing daily quests to whoever pays him a visit.
You'll get 5 daily quests each with a fixed reward. Quests that have no progress made will reroll at the daily tick.
This mean that, if you make progress torwards a quest it will not reroll before you give up on it.
It'll only be possible to give up on one quest per day. (However this is relatively easy to change, should the need be)
I'm well aware that there WILL be some balancing between effort and reward to do, the quest rewards may be a bit underscaled at first.
But I'll leave the balancing act up for discussion in the suggestions forum, so once it's released please feel free to voice your constructive opinions there.
So unless things set's on fire, I've planned with Zorg to have this released around monday at 17.00 (5PM) GMT+1
Regarding the system messages, just to clarify for those of you who have been searching for clues.
No. there's nothing to be found yet, it has been pure story telling leading up to this update.
I realised I had dun goofed picking the name Diego, once it was brought to my attention there was a player by the same name '
That's all for now.

So, another wasteland related update is coming, along with the mandatory typo/bugfixes.
Without further ado, here's the changelog for this update.
- Wasteland chat command suggestions, use tab key to autocomplete.
- Players below -2 will not be able to provide thread-ratings, changed from -1.
- "/alert attack" has been added.
- Added 'Outskirts' tab to bottom of hive pages.
For those that do not know what the first line means, here's a gif.
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1QEbYbSeJwg5XOyMQxskPMUC0oweyA9hg/view
A command will be suggested as you type, you will then be able to press tab to insert it into the chat box.
Also the default /alert type, will change to "attack", this means that it will behave similar to what it did prior to the alert update.
I've also switched the icons around a little bit for this, thanks to UnicornBob for the graphics.
As always, please report any bugs regarding this update to me.

Updates, updates and updates!
While Zorg has been away the devs has been busy,
below is the compiled lists of changes/additions that the next update will bring. It mostly consists of some user experience updates (as usual by me.)
- Clicking text next to a checkbox will check it, in most areas of the game.
- Several dropdowns and buttons, now has identical styling, instead of the browser default.
- En icon next to chat limit bar will open a clickable emoticons box, to insert/lookup an emoticon
- Smiley pack 3 added in chat channels.
- Links in chat channels will be clickable.
- Clicking usernames or links in chat popup mode, now navigates the main legacy window, instead of the popup.
- Envelope icon in friends list module will turn grey if the friend has no space left.
- Staff members/Moderators/Guides will appear the top of the list of online chat members.
- Added gang badge to names in chat channel messages.
- Other minor UI/UX cases that has been bugging me lately.
I've also attempted a fix to prevent duplicate messages to be sent to the server in Chat Channels due to lag.
However it's unlikely that there won't still appear some duplicate messages client side, because of the way the chat is coded to begin with,
... and because, oh well, javascript ain't exactly my favourite language.
