The new optional language filter is now live on the main game. It is enabled by default, you can disable it in the options menu. We will no longer be enforcing rules relating to the use of bad language, if you do not wish to see it please leave the filter enabled.

This does not change our stance on any other language rules, bullying / harassment will still be treated the same as will filter avoidance. Just because you have the freedom to use bad language if you wish doesn't mean you're free to be a jerk, or insult other people.

I'm trying a new system on the development server, as well as the crystals update. The language filters now run when the chat is being parsed for sending to the client, rather than when the chat is received.

This will inevitably have issues, I expect some players may find their names get filtered? We'll have to wait and see. It does however mean, if we do it this way round I can provide the option to disable the filter on a per player basis.

So on the development server you'll now find an option to turn off the language filter. If it works then we'll no longer need to enforce bad language rules and it wont matter if the filter is a bit over zealous, as you can just turn it off if it bugs you.

The big road map update is now live on the development server. If you use a crystal (on top of the normal options to combine it with other crystals) you will now be able to socket it in to items with free slots.

All items that existed on the Development server at the time of this update have been made level 5 to aid with testing. I've also fixed the pop up windows across the game so they appear the correct size and in the middle of your screen (on dev).

You can see what crystals are in an item in their big image, the same way you see modifications. You can also see them listed in full when you view an item. There is currently no way to unsocket a crystal, this option will be added later. Also crystals are ignored for the purposes of the Market for the time being.

I also fixed the issue preventing some crystals from stacking in the market. <3

I guess I should have explained the Trade Forum in more depth in my last blog. This forum isn't a huge update or to replace any other for those certain player who love to cry. This forum will hopefully be the central hub for trading around Legacy.

We where hoping to see blocks of plat being bought/sold or item keys being sold, DEV things can be sold here for regleg stuff, You can advertise your entire market if you want to and make a detailed thread. Yes we have a Plat System and Market but you don't get to advertise it without shouting it on SC all the time.

The forum is what you make it, it isn't another "dead forum" or a useless update. There is a lot of trade opportunities on Legacy in different currencies, this would be the place to do it.

We have also edited the rules of the forum to remove Item Numbers to make it easier for you.
