Today I've suspended 2 players for their use of 3rd party scripts in violation of our Terms of Use. Be warned, when you start adding custom Javascript to my pages my Javascript can detect it and can report it back to me.

Having said that, third party scripts will not be completely disallowed. Here are the rules if you want to start writing helper browser addons for Legacy.

1. Open Source Code
The code you plan on using for your addon must be posted to a service like GitHub for everyone to see, this must be the exact same as the code offered for download.

2. Test on the Development Server
When working on a new addon or changing a current one, it must be tested on the development server and not on the live game. Rules about third party code do not apply there.

3. Reviewed by Myself
Any addons you wish to use on the live game must first be sent to me via ticket for review. I will not tolerate scripts that automate parts of the game or remove parts of my game (like the footer). Automation is defined as any script that plays part of the game without requiring a user be present at the keyboard. Pressing a series of keys to play the game that can easily be macro'd will also count as automation.

4. Available to Everyone
Once a script has been reviewed and accepted you must share it with the entire game on our forums. Not just one clan or one gang, everybody. So it's fair!

These suspensions are just a warning that such things can and will be detected, we do it on Fallen Sword all the time. I do not wish to discourage people making improvements to my UI through addons, but I will not allow such things to happen in the dark.

Today officially ends the free socket removal service I've been offering. The UI is much clearer now and has a confirmation so you shouldn't be making mistakes that are my fault. Coming soon will be the following 2 ways to remove crystals from items.

Destroy Socket
Drop the items level by 1, removing a socket and give you the crystal back undamaged.

Destroy Crystal
Destroy the crystal but keep the socket and item level undamaged.

I'm also thinking of giving an option to remove a crystal from an item without losing the socket or the crystal for a price in platinum. It would be expensive though, maybe 5,000 platinum? I'm open to feedback on that.

For those brave adventures that have been exploring the vast possibilities of crystals, such as putting + Armor crystals in Chain Blades and such! Please submit a ticket to the Hunted Cow support system.

Be sure to include the item ID of the item you socketed incorrectly, and which of the crystal slots you wish removing... 1, 2, 3 or 4. I'll be un-socketing crystals on Monday. I'll also be trying to make the UI for socketing a crystal a little less error prone!

That is the 'Crystal Fusion' roadmap update live. Please take extra care when socketing items. For a limited period I will be undoing mistakes but this is a lot of effort for me and it may take me some time, please submit requests via ticket if you socket something in error.

Also note, that putting a 5% accuracy crystal in an item with 0 base accuracy will make no difference to its stats. That probably seems obvious to most of you, but ... yeah.

To socket a crystal select 'Use' on it and combine it with the item you wish to place it in. There will be a system in place later for removing crystals from items, but it will cost you the socket (An items level worth of experience) or the crystal to do so.

Have a fun week-end, please don't break things too much!
