A Very Merry Realm is back in action and is active until January 6th, Monday noon (EST)

It has a weekly limit of successful attempts set at 70 and a daily limit at 12.

You might be wondering: 12 daily does not add up to 70 if you did it every day in a week.

It's 12 for two reasons:

a) I want to limit the number of times people do it in a day too so that Bob can get some rest.
b) It's 12 so that if you miss a couple today or tomorrow, you can still max out your weekly limit by maxing out your daily limit on the other days.

Drop tables for Granny, Santa, and the Phantom santa have been updated. It's very close to what I posted in the Raid forum thread with some minor changes.

Normally I'm very secretive about these things but since this has been discussed anyway and I'm generous, I'll share a few tidbits:

1) Granny's guaranteed drop is now an Epic Blueprint and she also has an Ab Dye in her table.
2) Santa's guaranteed drop is... a form of energy (I imagine this is going to be controversial)
3) Phantom santa also has a (generous, imo) chance to drop Ab Dye too on the final kill.

I did mention you will see the use of Phantom Essence soon... it's not directly tied to this raid but very soon you shall know. Perhaps the answers lie somewhere else?

As always, let me know if any bugs arise. I've tested things here and there but the raid system has been through a lot of changes since Day 1, especially over the last couple of months. While almost all changes have been backwards compatible, just let me know if anything comes up.

A group of committed players just logged a sub-minute completion time on The Ritual public event.

The timing: 56 seconds, 606 milliseconds

Congratulations to the following new proud owners of transcendent broken bottles:

Bongo, Pillage, hunter8, UnicornBob, Billy2131, Varamin, matt770, Merlin, and Mary.

I would like to make a special mention of Pillage who set out on organizing this initially and tried to bring everyone together. This was just
really awesome to watch as players basically kept trying over and over, changing up strategies, and most importantly working together in order to log a sub-minute.

This is what I always enjoy seeing the most in Legacy and hopefully there will be more opportunities in the future to do the same in other places.

As a reward for this completion by members of our community, in addition to our annual A Very Merry Realm xmas raid coming back around Dec 23rd, I will also be releasing a small public event for all to participate in. I have a pretty interesting idea for it that I hope works out so look forward to that!

The Shadress event raid will go away at Sunday night - 11:55 PM game time.

The next (non-event) raid that will be released will be Strange Hives III, for those of you who have unlocked it. I've been a bit busy irl + sick now but it should be available at some point next week.

Smiley Pack 4 has been added to the Platinum Store. Some great stuff by UnicornBob! Do check it out if you want access to some hip new emotes:

Raids

A couple of minor fixes in the world of raids (hopefully nothing else is broken).
  • Fixed Strange Crown healing and cutting its own XP when the player is already at full health.

  • Fixed a rendering issue with the raid map system when switching maps (when you go to the queen's area in The Ritual, you see all walls but you should actually see a few non-wall tiles).

  • Probably the most important, locked public events that have no players in them (i.e. everyone died/left/failed..etc) will be reset by the next minute tick so as to give everyone another chance. You will need to repay the cost if you fail.

New items (now that people have discovered them)
  • Strange Crown - heals the user for 10 times the item level every 2 minutes. However, it also costs the same in Misc XP in order to execute the heal.

  • Armor, Weapon, and Misc Balls - Allow a lossless transfer of XP out of them to respective item types. You cannot transfer XP back into them by any means. They can transfer XP to any item with a level requirement below or above them.

  • Nanite Cluster - Grants a full heal + extra HP (eg. if it says it gives +100 nano-shield, and your max hp is 300 - you will be healed to 400/300).

  • Power Core - Buff that removes WL re-entry timer for 1 entry only.

Stay tuned for more info on upcoming raids.
