The new Hunted Cow site is online, Legacy is currently there but hidden. Current plan is to finish the new tutorial this week-end, prep a few other bits and add Legacy to the game list on Monday. We'll also then begin sending out emails to the massive Hunted Cow mailing list about our game.

We have a nice new icon for our game ready to go...



I have no idea how much attention it will attract but I'll be posting about it on forums and such so we'll see. The new Hunted Cow portal can be found at:

We aren't merging game accounts in to Hunted Cow accounts yet, but when we do don't worry you'll retain your name and everything else you have here.

In the interest of keeping people informed as to what is currently going on, here is what is currently going on! I've been working endless hours finishing the new Hunted Cow website and it should launch this week. It will work much like the Battle.net in that you'll have one Hunted Cow account that you can use to login to all our games.

During the merge the outer game will gain a bar at the top and you'll be given the option of turning your account in to a Hunted Cow account. This merge will not be for a few weeks though as Fallen Sword will be merging at the same time. Why is this a good thing? Well...

The issue with announcing Legacy to Hunted Cows community is that it's a 'Hail Mary Pass' and if it fails Legacy will be relegated to the back burner in terms of any work being done on it ever again. It needs to go well, and if we can link accounts across games we can do things like... give players in Fallen Sword rewards for getting a Legacy character to level 10 as well as making their signup infinitely easier. Along with emails and some advertising that should give it a much better chance.

I appreciate the communities patience, this new site is 30,000+ lines of code and was almost completely designed by myself so I've been quite busy and I haven't forgotten about you guys.

Travelling in to the void was dangerous and many were lost. You arrive on a new desolate wasteland, one that makes your old home seem far less desolate. The gang HQs have yet to arrive, who knows if they will arrive at all. But the battle must begin without them.

The gang HQ units have been removed for this section of warfare, they may be added later if this game mode proves uneventful. Squares must be captured outward from the neutral landing zone.

So tonight will see the next map for Warfare, it will not be the winter map. No more information will be given out than that, you'll just need to think and plan quickly when it goes live at midnight server time.

Hunting is under the gun for some updates next, the first of these will see 5 new abilities added relating to hunting. Decreasing its cost slightly, increasing drop chances and that sort of thing. Check them out when they go up on Dev and let me know if you think any of over-powered, under-powered, whatever.

New hunting graphics will be added second along with a new UI for picking what you want to hunt. Then will come some new hunting NPCs to fill the 80 - 90 gap, with some new item drops hopefully. That's a bigger change though that will require a little more planning.
