So yeah, in response to the comments on the previous blog I'm working on some new high resolution artwork for the game. Starting with the guy standing in front of the hive on the index page.
I'm in the process of redrawing him in a new set of items, with white hair and glancing backwards over his shoulder with glowing avatar eyes. That will likely be finished in the next week or so so watch out for that.

So I've been working trying to come up with a new look for the outer game, below is a link to my current version. This is just the look for outer pages that contain content. I'm trying to think up some replacement artwork for the initial home page.
Right now I'm thinking an avatar or something but it will no doubt take me a while to draw. More on that later anyway, pages with information like signup, news, features, etc are going to look like this.

Also I'm well aware of gangs parking their HQs in an objectives red zone to farm points. This remains a valid tactic for this round if being able to use the objective is of no interest to you. However, January onwards having your HQ in any red zone will result in negative points greater than that you would get for even controlling the objective.
I have no objections to this strategy being used and it is an imaginative loop hole in the points system. But it does negate the point of having red zones and it will be fixed come January.

There have been some complaints that this map change was a little short notice, next time I'll try to get the HQ starting positions up a little earlier. Having said that you should know by now it comes around every 3 months and as I no longer have to design the maps in advance it will be talked about far less in my blogs.
The next map change will likely be on January 2nd or 3rd to accomidate new years eve. Results for July to September can be found below!
