The 'Item Experience' update is now live on the Development server as per the road map. It is slated to go live tomorrow if everything is working. Items start at level 1 with 0 experience as shown in the bar at the bottom of the item. Items gain experience depending on their type.

- Weapons gain 1 point of experience by hitting a player or NPC (that grants experience) for damage.

- Armor gain 1 point of experience by being hit for damage.

- Misc items gain 1 point of experience for each Warfare Point earned (in combat).

To get to level 2 and item must earn 4500 experience. Then 9000, 18000 and 36000 respectively with experience resetting to 0 each level up. These numbers may all be tweaked before release tomorrow.

"I saw the first set of numbers (double the above) and was fine with it. The new numbers seem too small. We should draw this out, especially since NPCs grant with crystal hunting being rampant now."
