Presenting... the Deployment Kit, the
Use this bad boy (internally known as Good Boy) in Wasteland and find yourself and up to 4 other teammates basking in the glow of healing nanites!
Wondering how it works? Me too! Let's see:
- A little bit after this post, Deployment Kits will be available in the Warfare Shop for 200 Warfare Points.
- When a kit is in your held items, use /deploy heal in WL, immediately consuming the item, to spawn a visible gang NPC called 'Healing Drone'.
- Every minute tick, the healing drone will expend healing power (currently set at 100HP), consuming it from its own HP bar.
- If there are friendly gang members on the square, the expended healing power is split evenly among the gang players who need heals (up to a max of 5 players).
(eg. If only 1 player needs heals, they get the full +100HP. If 2 players, 50 each..etc up to 5 players, 20 each,). - Once its HP <= 0, the single-use drone will become useless (like my future).
- Higher gang ranks (not me ) can use /alert heal to explicitly create a new type of alert ("Healing drone"), but gang chat messages also go out when someone deploys a healing drone (also logged in Warfare log).
- Each gang can only have up to 3 of its own healing drones active simultaneously.
- Right now, anyone can deploy a healing drone once they have the item (which is also tradeable, fyi).
- You cannot stack drones/deploy a drone on a square that already has another healing drone (friendly or otherwise).
- War lords and above can go to a new drone management page in the citadel to destroy any active gang drone.
- Healing Drones are not combat-equipped other than having really strong armor! Defend them with your life!

This is a multi-purpose blog. First I'll announce that the ghost/zombie, Stramineus, and Joe's Halloween items will be disappearing on the 10th. Hunt those ghosts while you can!

Next, some small updates/bug fixes.
The padding on forum posts was bugged after the anonymous forum update. I fixed that (also added 10 px padding on top of forum posts, up from the 5px before. I think it looks nicer).
I added the active skills on a drone run on mouseover of the drones module and on the drone bays page.
I buffed the drone skill Evasion, so that it rolls Reliability * 3 instead of 2. With 25 Reliability, you'd have a 75% chance of evading danger, up from 50%. It was one of the least used skills, so hopefully this encourages more players to try it. Heavy Forcefield and Nanobot Repairs are also underused, but not sure how to go about buffing them.

A patch released today containing a bunch of quality of life updates related to crafting and drones. Here is a list:
1) Crafting will now use items from your material storage. Priority for auto-select on the crafting page goes inventory first, then top-most stack in material storage.
2) Added a Quick Stack button to material storage that will put all your tools and materials in your inventory into available storage slots, in one go. Say thanks to rollin for coding this.
3) Added a recipe for Manganese Ingot and Plate to Blueprint Shop. These items are used as optionals in drone repair recipes. 20% condition restored for Mang ingot, 60% for Mang plate.
4) The better the material used in drone repairs, the lower the repair duration. For example, 5 Gold Plates will only take 15 minutes now, whereas 5 Steel Plates will take 90 minutes.
5) Damage taken on successful drone jobs now scales with job level. Level 1 jobs have 5-10 damage range while level 10 jobs have 10-25 damage range.

Also I forgot to mention, I am hosting a Werewolves game in our Games Room forum. There are prizes that will help you when leveling up your personal drones. Even if you don't know how to play WW games, it is worth signing up since there is a participation reward!
