This is going to be a long blog post, sorry. I have been staff on Legacy for around 7 years. I believe will has been around for nearly 5 years. I was around 16/17 when I first became staff under Lucas, and within a year Zorg hired me as a manager and I began to run Legacy under him. Just to illustrate that point, I sometimes woke up at 4am to help in wl resets, the odd few times Zorg synced the files and I had to make it live. I have been "called out" on Boxing Day, Christmas Day, trying to get internet connection on xmas day in a relatives house to stop an online game being damaged, rushing online to get rid of mass multis and spammers, getting the game back up when it committed suicide - priorities eh?

I think what I'm trying to say is I have been dedicated to Legacy, making it run, keeping order and going out of my way to make players enjoy the game with events. In that time I was at Zorgs throat and him at mine but we still worked together. It is only recently that my activity has been low or MIA. I could still balance it when at uni, even with a full social life. When I graduated and began working for Local Government that is when my activity started to drop. Now I've been promoted and I'm in a position that requires more time and callouts and my social life takes a huge chunk of what I have left. The only way I could do it is if I used personal holidays to give time to Legacy and I did that out of guilt last year so you guys could have an event and well, nobody should be using holidays for that.

With this said, effective from the end of March, Voluntary Helpers will no longer exist. I will be stepping down and Will has decided that his priorities need reshuffling and he will be stepping down also. I'm not 100% on how tickets/clans and reps will work yet. I'm not sure how mods will work. I will sort this with Zorg ASAP however. I won't leave Legacy on fire, ill make sure there is a correct handover.

It has been an amazing time on Legacy, some of you have annoyed me to high heaven but I hold no grudges as you guys are awesome. Legacy has an awesome community, it is a shame that browser based games are becoming extinct. Thank you for all the laughs and rages I have had, I think Will, will be posting something or saying something eventually. I will be doing one last MM since its all planned just needs the images. This will be one of the last blogs I will post.

P.S Congratulations to Steven, he should be highlighted for the hours he has dedicated, honest true person that deserves a statue on Legacy dedicated to him. Sad to see him go but his personal life is evolving - Grats man!

Hey guys. Just dropping in to let you guys know what's going on with a few things.

1. The Shadress event IS over and the rewards will be sent to everyone in the near future (gonna have to prod Scott a bit to help me out with that). The reason I haven't sent banners to those who defeated her, which I will list those who did in a moment, is because the banner we have states that she was defeated in Halloween 2014. I realize that's not a big deal to most of you, but I'd like them to be semi accurate. Or just remove the date. I'll be asking Zorg about that.

Those who defeated Shadress were: Kabios23, Killy, Shysta, Teeg, Samcro, Raoh, AllLitUp20, CroFighter, HappyDays, BongHitter, and evrox. I also have an extensive list of individuals who put forth a great effort in trying to beat her. What that means (since I never explained it) is people who did a good amount of damage to her but didn't get the final hit or were beaten by her at the last few seconds and missed out. Or even those who got beaten several times but kept coming back for more punishment

2. The Halloween competitions will be judged by myself, Scott, and a couple other people I've already had volunteer. Those should be done in the near future.

3. Those who applied for VH a while back but have yet to get a response, I apologize now and will be doing my best to get Scott to actually move forward with those so you can stop waiting

Hope everyone had a safe, fun Halloween. And we will be seeing you in the near future

Alright guys, time for a little Halloween update and info.

Shadress
Shadress has been wandering the Wastelands seeking strong opponents. I sort of touched on rewards for her, but I'll elaborate a little this time. Those who actually defeat her will receive the Shadress Banner as well as a few bonus items. I am also keeping track of those who really try to take her on but don't manage to get the final hit. Those guys will also get a couple of items. The items can include things such as Minimoo Chocolate, Minomoo Juice, Halloween Candy, and a couple other random goodies. Everything will be distributed after Halloween, when Shadress leaves and returns to the void.

Halloween Costume and Horror Story contest
To try and include everyone, I've decided to host a little costume and horror story competition in the Main Forum. Possible staff favor and the official competition banner up for grabs on that one. So put on your best outfit and tell us your best horror story. Bonus points if the costume goes with the story.

Happy Halloween

Shadress has returned and she desires your destruction. At any point after you read this until Halloween is over, she may make an appearance in the Wasteland. There are a few things I can inform you of.

A system announcement will occur when she enters the Wasteland to alert everyone of her presence.

Shadress will tend to migrate towards neutral squares if any are present. This will allow more people to come to her to try and stop her rampage.

Shadress only cares about fighting the strongest of opponents. As such, she will only target those who are Avatars.

Shadress is a little weaker from her previous appearance, but will still be difficult to take down.

Those who take her down, i.e. land the final hit, will be rewarded with a couple goodies as well as the Shadress banner. Those who participate but don't take her down may receive an item or two as well.

If Shadress is on a square and is left alone for to long, she might start attacking of her own accord. Keep in mind though, she will only target those who are Avatars.

Good luck to all of you...
